NOTHING es una banda de Rock Alternativo formada en Philadelphia por Domenic Palermo.
Hasta el momento habían publicado dos EP’s. Un 12’’ titulado “Suns And Lovers”(solo se publicaron 300 copias) y el otro constaba de 5 temas: “Downward Years To Come” que vio la luz en Noviembre de 2012. 
En los últimos 2 años han estado mostrando su trabajo en Norte-América.
Acaban de publicar su primer larga duración a través de Relapse Records.  Llevará por título “Guilty Of Everything” y ha sido grabado y producido por Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, War On Drugs...).

Entrevistamos a Domenic Palermo (“Nicky Money”), vocalista y alma máter de landa. Y a Brandon Setta, guitarrista.

Static Age-  ¿Qué expectativas tenéis sobre vuestro álbum “Guilty of Everything”?/ What expectations do you have about your album “Guilty Of Everything”?

Brandon- Espero que a algunas personas les guste y que otras “nos pongan a parir” en internet. Espero que mucha gente lo defina como un álbum “Shoegaze” (El shoegazing es un estilo de música alternativa surgido a finales de los años ochenta en el Reino Unido.)

I expect certain people to like it and certain people to talk shit on internet. I expect a lot of people to call it shoegaze record.

Domenic- Espero que lo comparen con MBV o Deafheaven. Y espero estar molesto por ello. Pienso dejar de leer lo que se publique en internet para evitar estampar mi cabeza contra la pantalla del ordenador. 

I expect it to be compared to MBV and Deafheaven. I expect to get annoyed by it. I expect to stop reading the internet so I don't smash my own head through the screen.

 
S.A.- ¿Que tipo de críticas habéis recibido hasta el momento?/What have the reviews been like so far?

D- Hasta la fecha todas han sido geniales.

      Everything has been swell.

B- La mayoría buenas, menos la de algún metalhead "idiota" cabreado.

      Mostly good except some angry metal head dumbass
 

S.A.- ¿Próximas giras confirmadas? ¿Visitaréis Europa?/ Is there a tour on the horizon? And will you becoming to Europe?

 B-  Estoy escribiendo esto desde Denny's mientras estamos de gira. Tocaremos en Roadburn en Abril.

         Im typing this from a Denny's while on tour right now. We are coming to play Roadburn in april.

 D- Quizás en verano también.

       Maybe in summer too. 

S.A. ¿Cuales son vuestras principales influencias?/ What are your biggest influences?

D-  Las metanfetaminas y los opiáceos

       Meth amphetamines and opiates. 
 

S.A.- ¿Cómo definiríais vuestra música?/ How would you define your music?

D- Hay cierta belleza escondida en la melancolía. Tratamos de extraerla cuando escribimos un tema. Todo el tiempo

      There's beauty hidden in melancholia. We try and extract that when we’re writing a song. Every time. 

 
S.A.- ¿Por qué escogisteis el nombre “Nothing”?/ Why did you choose the name “Nothing”?

 D- Demasiada gente irritante buscando ser original. Hay algún tipo de significado filosófico escondido tras la elección de “Nothing” pero no debe entenderse como algo literal.

      Too annoy people searching originally. There's some philosophical meaning behind it but it's not to be taken too literal. 

S.A.- ¿Con qué banda os gustaría tocar?/ Who would you like to perform with?

B- Nirvana

D- white zombie
 

S.A.- ¿Con que banda habéis disfrutado más compartiendo escenario? ¿Con cual os gustaría tocar en el futuro?/ Which band have you most enjoyed sharing a stage with? Who would you most like to play with in the future?

B- Whirr & weekend. En el futuro me gustaría compartir escenario con ellos.

S.A.- ¿Tenéis alguna historia interesante para compartir con vuestros fans?/ Have you got any interesting stories to share with your fans?

B- Solo tenemos un sandwich extra gratuito en Denny's porqué el servidor se ha estropeado.

     We just got an extra sandwich for free at Denny's cause the server messed up.

D- Acabo de leer un artículo sobre cómo la gente blanca está siendo arrojada en África sin razón alguna y quedando atrapados en sus casas por unos “enormes hijos de puta” sufriendo abusos durante horas mientras ellos

      bailan y cantan a su alrededor.

      I just read an article about white people getting pulled over in Africa for no reason and getting stuck in holding cells with some gnarly mother fuckers and getting raped for like 8 hours straight while they all dance around  and sing. 
 

S.A.-  ¿Hay algo más que queráis compartir con vuestro seguidores en Europa?/ Is there anything you would like to say to your fans in Europe?

D- Espero que la próxima vez que me lancé del escenario alguien me recoja sin usar su cabeza para así no volver a romperme las costillas.

      I hope next time we come and I stage dive someone catches me without using their head and I don't break my ribs again.
