Another year heading to paradise, heading to Trutnov, to Obscene Extreme!
We left everything ready at the campsite and headed to the pre-party.
This year there were more people than the previous one, a great atmosphere, good bands and a perfect start for what was coming.
First day, this year, as always, the festival began with the freak fest: a whirlwind of garbage can races, spicy stuff, vomiting, spanking and other various freakishness.
In this edition, Wednesday was called the “Festival of all riffs” with bands like Angelus Apatrida, Sabbat or Acidez. Then the Freak Fest continued on the stage with various performances. And of course the tent, for the last scoundrels of the night.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the venue was filled with amazing bands; Napalm Death, Autopsy, Wolfbrigade, Gutalax, Ratos de Porao, Mutilated Judge (Our fellow Basques must be mentioned, what a mess they put on stage, cracks!!)... One concert after another with hardly any time to breathe, each one a true marvel.
What an amazing experience!
This year marked the 25th anniversary of the OEF and it was also the 50th birthday of its creator: Čurby. The most emotional moment was when they went up on stage to celebrate both events, giving to the master of ceremonies a cake and then a memorable crowd surfing tour through the venue.
In addition to the unique and most special concert, exclusive for Čurby: Walking Corpses (playing Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses), with Dan Liker and Bilos at the front.
As every year, high quality beers with prices ranging between 2.50 and 3 euros. A huge variety of vegetarian and vegan food at very affordable prices.
Free showers and camping.
An environment full of good vibes.
There are no waiting lines to drink, eat or go to the bathroom.
This year we did notice that there were more people, which makes us happy, because the more people enjoy the best festival, the better.
Every night after the concerts there was an epic party in the tents.
Another year full of anecdotes and happiness.
On Sunday we arrived as best we could to the afterparty, tired but ready to go.
This time it went faster than ever, we had such a good time... Words cannot describe the happiness that this festival brings. There is no other like it, it is simply the best.
Moments like when the children jump off the stage doing crowd surfing...
Having a place to look after the little ones throughout the festival.
The Crew; a big family that is fully involved in the event, they dress up, enjoy themselves... They are part of the festival.
Only good things can be said. And if that is not enough, what are you waiting for? You have to go and experience it!
