Orochen – Swedish Post-Rock Group Reveal New Track "Burial Mounds" Via Everything Is Noise

A new member in the Suicide Records family, Swedish four piece group Orochen will release their third EP titled “Thylacine” on September 18th.

Named after a striped Tasmanian tiger that went extinct in the 20th century, the follow-up to their second EP "Mechanical Eyes" released earlier this year was mixed and mastered by Karl Daniel Lidén (Crippled Black Phoenix, Greenleaf, Novarupta, Breach, The Old Wind) and features the guest vocals of Alex Stjernfelt (Novarupta, Ex. Mr Death, Ex. Moth Gatherer) on the closing song “The Jonestown Deathtape”.

Merging elements of Americana, folk music, sludge, hardcore and early post rock, “Thylacine” shows a band sounding stronger and more confident than ever. Pre-orders are now available at this location.

The EP's leading single "Burial Mounds" is now playing at Everything Is Noise, who commented "As dark as this track it, it has hooks, a strong sense of melody, and enough layering to warrant more than one spin for it to be appreciated in full. I look forward to hearing Thylacine in its entirety when it’s released in the near future."
