Rongeur - Norwegian Sludge Trio Share New Track "Gutter Marathon"

Oslo-based stoner/sludge trio  Rongeur have just shared a brand new song off the band’s forthcoming second album “Glacier Tongue”, which is set for release on November 5th via Fysisk Format.

Titled "Gutter Marathon", this new track is now playing at this location.

If you missed it, the video for "Nixonian Echoes" is still streaming here.

Hailing from Oslo, Norway, sludge metal trio Rongeur was created in late 2012 by former members of bands like Ampmandens Døtre, Exeloume, Untime and Martyrs with the intent of making raw, heavy and honest music.

Inspired by various artists like Eyehategod, Seigmen, High on Fire, Neurosis, Darkthrone and Arthur Schoupenhauer, Rongeur recorded some demos and a split cd before releasing their debut album "An Asphyxiating Embrace" in 2017 via Poacher Records and Ampmandens Records.

Now four years later, Rongeur return with a new effort titled “Glacier Tongue”, the first for new record label Fysisk Format. Recorded between Venteværelse Studio, Vaterland Studio and Swerve City Studio, and later mixed and mastered by Ruben Willem at Caliban Studios, this new album offers eight new songs full of raucous, sludgy and heavy riffs.

Rongeur are:
Dag Ole H. Huseby: Bass guitar and vocals
Jon Dahl Tveter: Drums and vocals
Audun G. Jakobsen: Guitar and vocals
