About the song, they say: “It’s fuckin’ fire breathin’… Leviathan Rising is the second track from our new record Vol.2. It was recorded mixed and mastered by Nick Franklin. This “biblical jam” takes place at the bottom of the deepest darkest ocean In a place never touched by light or seen by man. We filmed the video for Leviathan Rising over a couple of hours in our mate Mitch Hertz’s bedroom with a mobile phone on a 40-degree day in Sydney, Australia… Take heed and rip hard!"

In 2022, ASTRODEATH headlined Thrashville Festival and delivered a legendary performance at Blacken Open Air in Alice Springs, culminating in dozens of rabid fans joining the band onstage. Astrodeath's sophomore album builds on the mythic lore and hypnotising sonic spells infamously cast on their 2019 self-titled debut album.
