We never get tired of Latin America and its bands, so here we have another band from these parts and that is the Chilean trio of antifa thrash punks EVASOR!!! Rough, brutal ride of mix of thrash and punk, very catchy, just right for the moshpit at the Battlefield!!!
EVASOR is a relatively young band, formed in 2019, but their angry style, which goes hand in hand with great musicianship, makes of them the great promise for the future.
Their EP " Cocaina Vegan" is a fucking proof to that. EVASOR will be touring Europe in 2023 and it's great to have David, Pablo and José coming to play for the first time at the Battlefield!!! Let's give them a warm welcome!!!

RAW POWER, the longest-running band in the history of Italian Hardcore/Punk and with no doubt the most influential and credited of all.
Delivering full on energy, aggressive Hardcore since 1981, their formula has become a real trademark: fast blistering drums, inhuman 6 string execution and rabid vocals combined with the screaming mad assault of songs such as “Fuck Authority”, “Raw Power” and “Don’t Let Me See It” that gave a vital input to tons of other like minded speed/HC maniacs to come in later years (in fact bands like KREATOR, NAPALM DEATH, HELLNATION, DECEASED, CRIPPLE BASTARDS and many more paid homage to them including RP covers on their records..).
They were the first Italian HC band touring the USA, and the one that brought Italian Hardcore on the international music map. Over their 40-year career RAW POWER have shared the stage with some of the most important bands of the punk scene, hardcore and metal world: Dead Kennedys, GBH, Corrosion of Conformity, Suicidal Tendencies, Motorhead, Cro Mags, Sick of it All, Agnostic Front, Circle Jerks, Scream, Adolescents, Rancid, Poison Idea, Slayer, Venom, DRI, to name but a few, and also in 1985 in a small club in Seattle, Guns N Roses a still unknown band open for one of their shows!!!
AVERNAL - Death metal avalanche rolling in from Argentina!!!
AVERNAL is one of the pioneering extreme metal acts in the Argentinian region of Buenos Aires. The band was formed in 1993 playing originally an old-school death metal later evolving into a perfect combination of death metal and death & roll mixed with heavy grooving parts and dark melodies.
They released their debut album AVERNAL back in 1997 and their last eight album called "Tzompantli" in 2020. All of the band’s lyrics are done in Spanish and they are typical for the Latin American bands – about rebellion against a corrupt society, politics and death.

And here we have the headliner of Wednesday's OEF "Old School Metal Forever" program and it's none other than the incredible 41 year old German thrash machine HOLY MOSES!!!
Yes, exactly the HOLY MOSES that were formed in 1981 and have legendary albums like " Terminal Terror" or "The New Machine Of Lichtenstein" to their credit. With this performance full of old school hits, although it will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the festival, we will have to swallow a bittersweet pill, because HOLY MOSES have announced for 2023 both the release of the new, but definitely last album "Invisible Queen" and unfortunately the last year that HOLY MOSES will be actively performing!!!
So here you have one of the last chances to see live this foursome led by the uncrowned queen of thrash metal Sabina Classen!!! Surely you remember the hurricane when HOLY MOSES played the Battlefield in 2017!!! The dogs stayed on the chain then, but this time the dogs will surely break loose!!! And we will be there!!!

The quartet of black riders, formed in 2016, around the main brain of the band Equinox, swears to an absolutely hellish mix of old school styles of black, thrash with a dash of raw crust punk!!! It's like being run over by a locomotive with the dirtiest engine full of black soot, that's how punchy LUCIFUGE's music is!!!
At OEF we have put LUCIFUGE in the Wednesday "Old School Metal Forever" program, where they will really stand out. For every fan of old school metal this is a must!!! Yes, EXCITER, who have legendary albums like "Heavy Metal Maniacs" or "Violence & Force" on their sleeves and who have been pushing their metal car since 1978, which will make them one of the oldest bands ever to play OEF!!! And not only that, because EXCITER has been and undoubtedly still is a huge inspiration for bands in the speed/thrash scene everywhere!!!
In an almost original line-up, with singing drummer Dan Beehler and bassist Allan Johnson joined by guitarist Daniel Dekay in 2018, EXCITER will show us their legendary energy show!!! And they will do it on Wednesday at the Old School Metal Forever program, as one of its headliners!!! There will be headbanging!!! There will be Thrash!!! There will be Speed!!!
