These guys are one of the leading Swedish Death Metal monsters with a great history and without doubt highly appreciated by the fans. We are very looking forward to see them live on our stage again.
PARADISE LOST
Do anyone really need to introduce this band!? PARADISE LOST from the UK will play Party.San Metal Open Air for the very first time. Influenced by Celtic Frost and Candlemass they started their journey over 25 years ago. Just listen to their newest record "The Plague Within" and you´ll understand the importance of this band. Be sure they will play a VERY special set.
NECROS CHRISTOS
NECROS CHRISTOS will deliver you a seismic slab of esoteric Death Metal. Their music is essentially Death Metal, not a million miles away from Morbid Angel is general feel, but they have tossed so much experimentation and so many twists and nuances into their music that it’s closer to Black Metal in spirit. Death Metal performed using an adventurous pitchblack template.
BÖLZER
BÖLZER is certainly the best thing, which Switzerland has spawned since the 80’s and early 90’s, so the most glorious days of Celtic Frost and Samael. Their music is just eerie, doomy, sinister and ominous. You hear their quality in case you are not deaf at all.
ARCTURUS
ARCTURUS never really got the closure they deserved after having that excellent, versatile, and sophisticated discography over their career. Their music is a culminative example of what has been perfected in the fields of progressive/avantgarde/somewhat symphonic black metal. Their latest record „Arcturian“ is a simple masterpiece. The band features (ex-)members of Mayhem, Ulver, Borknagar and Ved Buens Ende.
WOLFBRIGADE
WOLFBRIGADE from Sweden will play Party.San Metal Open Air 2016. Metallic crust is the order of the day, and has been the band's bread and butter since they came snarling into life in 1995 under the original moniker Wolfpack. Like countrymen Disfear, Driller Killer, Skit System and Anti Cimex, Wolfbrigade know how to keep it coming fast and deadly, and they have little time for progressive nonsense or grandiose concepts. GATES OF ISHTAR
GATES OF ISHTAR is one of the greatest blackened Swedish Death Metal bands which you can easily compare with masters like Dissection, Unanimated and Dawn. The band disapeared for years and will now celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album "A Bloodred Path" with a very special show on Party.San Metal Open Air 2016. The band will play this album in its entirety.
