STRIKING BACK!

Blood incantation, Essenz and Crescent confirmed for PARTY.SAN METAL OPEN AIR.

Folks!
Spring has officially begun and it´s about time to prepare for the coming festival season. We are happy to announce 3 new bookings today and hope you like as much as we do. In case you have not purchased your ticket yet, be quick and do it here: www.cudgel.de

The endless darkness, desolation, intriguing mystery and suffocating atmosphere of space pairs well with metal. Science fiction themes, dystopian futures and extra terrestrial shenanigans are all familiar sources of inspiration in the metal scene, however Colorado up and comers BLOOD INCANTATION do a excellent job of nailing down the dense reality, claustrophobic atmosphere and otherworldly vibe of our mysterious universe on their hugely impressive full-length debut, Starspawn. The Band touches on the oozing-with-evil atmospheric streak of classic Morbid Angel and the tweaked harmonies and brain scrambling experimentation of Demilich and Gorguts. Check them out.

German occult metallers ESSENZ have brought to us their second album back in 2012, Mundus Numen, a hefty slab of blackened doom. In terms of their experimenting with doom and black metal, ESSENZ manage to reach out very broadly into the universe of doom/black metal and include a lot of different elements into their style. You need to check them out.

CRESCENT is an Egyptian blackened death metal band, having formed in 1998 by Ismaeel Attallah and Amr Mokhtar. Inspired by bands such as Death, Nile, Bolt Thrower and the world of Swedish black metal. CRESCENT is carries forth Egyptian elements in their heavy sound. After hearing “The Order of Amenti”, we find the elements of Egyptian culture and symbolism brings uniqueness to the band, and a different kind of meaning behind the music, in being close to the band members’ heritage. See them live in 2018.
