The band, whose name has been mentioned a lot in connection with Mighty Sounds since the beginning of the festival's existence, will lead the program of the 17th year - the Californian Rancid will arrive in Tábor. The event is produced on the 23rd-25th. June 2023.

Although terms such as legend and cult are often misused, in the case of Rancid, there are hardly any other words to choose. Only a few bands have been bridging the genres of punk and ska so brilliantly for many years, and they often also dig into sub-genre boxes like reggae or oi!, the pillars of which the Mighty Sounds festival is built on.

The band Rancid was formed in 1991 from the burials of the group Operation Ivy. Rancid have over 30 years on the scene, nine records and thousands of concerts. The band is made up of several personalities, but the most prominent of them is singer, guitarist, producer and owner of Hellcat Records, Tim Armstrong. It is, among other things, the heart of the Transplants project or the unique project Tim Timebomb, in the framework of which he and his friends recorded dozens of originals and cover songs. However, Tim's cracked and unmistakable voice is above all the main distinguishing mark of Rancid.
It is already clear that the 17th edition of the Mighty Sounds festival will be special. Tickets in the limited edition of 2,000 tickets are now available for 2,890 CZK and can be purchased HERE.
