As the final months before the festival continue approaching, Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 keeps strengthening its already monstrous line-up with another wave of underground brutality. Between December 11 and December 19, the Battlefield welcomed everything from politically charged grindviolence and legendary Colombian death grind to crust-driven chaos, old-school Dutch death metal warfare and furious South American punk crossover destruction.
The latest announcement cycle began on December 11 with Orange County grindviolence militants TENSION. Since forming in 2011, the anti-fascist vegan trio has become a respected name within the West Coast fastcore and grindviolence underground, delivering music built entirely around speed, rage and total sonic warfare.
The organisers described their sound as “absolute carnage,” combining frantic blastbeats, nonstop intensity and explosive aggression bordering on complete physical collapse. Special attention was given to vocalist Layhee, whose deranged vocal attack was compared to having “dynamite in her throat.” For fans of politically conscious underground extremity and authentic DIY grindviolence fury, TENSION promises one of the most chaotic Battlefield debuts of the year.
On December 12, OEF announced one of the most historically important reunions of the festival so far with Colombian brutal death grind cult PURULENT. For this special European appearance, the original “Patologia Grotesca” era line-up from 1994 to 1998 — including Wilson Rairan from Animals Killing People and David Rairan’s brother — will reunite in honour of David Rairan’s legacy.
The appearance also celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of “Patologia Grotesca”, a cult release widely considered one of the defining records in the history of Colombian and South American brutal death grind. According to the organisers, the album permanently changed the direction of extreme underground music across Colombia, helping inspire the scene that has since evolved into one of the most savage death metal communities on the planet.
Three days later, on December 15, experimental Czech extremists NOT! returned to the Battlefield after nine years away in order to celebrate an incredible thirty years on the underground scene. Despite extensive touring and an impressive catalogue of releases, the organisers still described the band as deeply underrated, largely because their sound refuses to fit comfortably inside any single genre.
Combining elements of fastcore, crust, grind and even black metal, NOT! built its reputation through technical musicianship, unpredictable songwriting and performances balanced directly on the edge of total collapse. At Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, the band is expected to deliver another uncompromising sonic firestorm fully worthy of their thirty-year legacy.
Brazilian crossover veterans DELINQUENTES arrived on December 16 bringing four decades of South American chaos with them. Originally formed in 1985, the band stands among the oldest still-active punk/crossover acts in Brazil and continues evolving despite numerous line-up changes over the years.
From primitive three-chord punk hardcore to the more thrash-oriented aggression heard today, DELINQUENTES has always maintained the raw intensity and chaotic spirit deeply associated with South American underground music. Their latest album “A Serpente” demonstrates that the band remains just as furious and politically charged as ever, promising one of the wildest crossover performances of the entire festival.
The following day introduced Dutch crust and d-beat newcomers OPSTAND. While technically a new band, the project emerged directly from the ashes of long-running Dutch grinders F.U.B.A.R., meaning its members are already deeply experienced veterans of the underground scene.
Originally scheduled to perform at the previous edition of OEF before an accident involving key member Luc forced a cancellation, OPSTAND now finally arrives at the Battlefield after Luc’s recovery. Their aggressive d-beat-driven sound combines crust fury, melodic guitar work and intense emotional energy into what the organisers described as a perfect soundtrack for a massive and violent moshpit.
American grinders EAT THE DECAY followed on December 18. Although the band itself only formed in 2022, its members have remained active in underground music since the 1990s, resulting in a group that already sounds like a fully evolved grindcore war machine rather than newcomers.
Their sound combines classic grindcore with death metal and noise influences, drawing comparisons to acts such as Repulsion, Extreme Noise Terror and Agathocles. Their debut album “Nefarious Means” already established the band as one of the more promising names in contemporary underground grind, while a split release with Czech grinders Sick Sinus Syndrome is also expected before the festival.
Finally, on December 19, Dutch death metal steamroller BODYFARM officially secured its long-awaited arrival at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026. Since forming in 2009, the band has become one of the strongest modern representatives of classic Dutch death metal, combining old-school brutality with darker blackened influences and crushing groove-heavy songwriting.
Despite suffering major line-up changes and the tragic death of founder Thomas Wouters in 2019, BODYFARM continued pushing forward with total dedication to aggressive and uncompromising death metal. Their latest album “Ultimate Abomination”, released in 2023, further strengthened the band’s reputation through massive production, battlefield-level groove and nonstop riff warfare.
The organisers highlighted the current line-up — featuring Bram Hilhorst, Alex Seegers, Ralph de Boer and drummer David Schermann — as a fully operational death metal war machine. Importantly, the band had already been scheduled to appear at OEF twice in the past before cancellations prevented both performances. At Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, however, BODYFARM will finally make their long-awaited Battlefield debut and attempt to transform Trutnov into a complete sonic slaughterhouse.
With names such as BODYFARM, PURULENT, NOT!, DELINQUENTES, OPSTAND and TENSION now officially added, Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 continues proving itself as one of the world’s most uncompromising celebrations of grindcore, death metal, punk, crust and underground extremity in every imaginable form.
