The latest announcement wave for Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 once again proves that the Battlefield has absolutely no intention of slowing down. Between November 15 and November 23, the legendary Czech festival added everything from old-school death metal filth and American hardcore royalty to sludge pioneers, Scandinavian d-beat fury and some of the nastiest underground brutality imaginable.
The newest descent into sonic chaos began on November 15 with British old-school death metal grave-diggers DECREPID. Formed in 2005, the London-based band has spent two decades worshipping the darkest and dustiest corners of classic death metal. Across four albums, DECREPID steadily evolved deeper into cavernous, rotten brutality, earning a reputation as one of the UK underground’s most authentic death metal acts.
The organisers described their music as something born directly from black darkness and buried corpses, fully consumed by ancient death metal obsession. At Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, the stench of old-school British death metal will finally spread properly across the Battlefield.
One day later came one of the most anticipated modern death metal announcements yet with Oakland destroyers NECROT. Since forming in 2011, the trio has become one of the most respected names in contemporary American death metal thanks to their ability to fuse savage old-school aggression with progressive songwriting and enormous live intensity.
Their newest album “Lifeless Birth” marks another major step forward for the band, building upon the brutal foundations established by “Blood Offerings” and “Mortal” while introducing even more explosive structures and technical precision. Working once again alongside producer Greg Wilkinson and mastering engineer Brad Boatright, NECROT continue refining a sound that balances crushing heaviness with unforgettable songwriting.
The organisers also highlighted the personal struggles surrounding the band’s journey — including cancelled tours, health crises and major setbacks — all of which only strengthened the band’s determination and intensity. Armed with Sonny Reinhardt’s razor-sharp guitar work, Chad Gailey’s unstoppable drumming and Luca Indrio’s devastating bass-and-vocal attack, NECROT are expected to arrive at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 with total control and absolute destructive force.
On November 17, the Battlefield prepared for another historic first with the arrival of legendary American hardcore veterans PRO-PAIN. Led by Gary Meskil, the band has spent more than three decades establishing itself as one of the defining pillars of heavy hardcore music worldwide.
Even after thirty-four years of nonstop activity, PRO-PAIN continue touring relentlessly while maintaining the same raw energy that built their cult status during the 1990s hardcore explosion. The organisers noted that while this is not blastbeat-driven extremity, their infectious groove-heavy hardcore remains impossible to resist live. With a brand-new album also scheduled for release in 2026, the band’s first-ever appearance at OEF is expected to become one of the most memorable hardcore moments in the festival’s history.
Fresh Scandinavian filth arrived on November 18 with Danish death metal newcomers PUSTULANT FLESH. Emerging from Copenhagen in 2022, the band rapidly established itself as one of the nastiest new names in Danish death metal thanks to a sound dripping with gore, rot and chainsaw brutality.
Strongly inspired by legends such as Carcass, Exhumed and Blood Duster, PUSTULANT FLESH channels classic gore-soaked death metal into an especially filthy modern form. Their debut EP “Gurgling Pustulence”, released through Extremely Rotten Productions, immediately drew attention throughout the underground thanks to its raw production and overwhelming atmosphere.
According to the organisers, seeing PUSTULANT FLESH live feels like being dragged face-first through decomposing sludge, with nonstop blastbeats, buzzing HM-2 riffing and utterly putrid vocals. Their debut at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 promises pure Danish decay in its rawest form.
The following day brought the arrival of Swedish d-beat veterans AVSKUM. Originally formed in 1982, the legendary hardcore punk band helped shape the very foundations of Scandinavian d-beat and crust before splitting up in 1988 and later reforming during the 1990s.
For the first time ever, AVSKUM will finally perform at Obscene Extreme Festival, bringing their furious and uncompromising d-beat attack to the Battlefield. The organisers already anticipate massive circle pits and nonstop stomp-driven chaos once the legendary Swedish punks unleash their classic hardcore fury in Trutnov.
One of the biggest surprises of this wave arrived on November 20 with the return of American sludge pioneers EYEHATEGOD. Although stylistically different from much of the festival’s traditional line-up, longtime OEF attendees will remember the band’s unforgettable appearance at the festival back in 2014.
Formed in 1988, EYEHATEGOD completely reshaped heavy underground music during the 1990s by fusing filthy punk aggression, crawling doom riffs, feedback-drenched noise and Mike Williams’ tortured lyrical vision into one oppressive sonic nightmare. Often described as one of the founding fathers of sludge metal, the band itself instead refers to its sound as “Down To Earth Motherfucken Post Amplification Blues.”
Albums such as “In The Name Of Suffering” helped define an entire subgenre of heavy music, influencing thousands of bands worldwide. At Obscene Extreme Festival 2026, EYEHATEGOD will once again drag the Battlefield into hypnotic slow-motion devastation through their narcotic wall of noise and grinding riffs.
Finally, on November 23, the festival closed this announcement wave with legendary American punk degenerates DWARVES. Existing for more than forty years, the infamous band has become one of the most chaotic and unpredictable names in punk rock history.
From the notorious Sub Pop release “Blood Guts and Pussy” to their later violent and twisted punk rock output, DWARVES built a reputation for combining pure punk aggression with shock value, dark humour and complete disregard for convention. Fronted by the notorious Blag Dahlia, the band remains just as dangerous and confrontational today as during its underground peak.
The organisers described DWARVES as true masters of destruction capable of ripping ordinary punk bands to pieces while leaving absolute chaos behind them. Their appearance at Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 promises another unforgettable collision between punk rock insanity and the total madness of the Battlefield.
With names such as NECROT, EYEHATEGOD, PRO-PAIN, DWARVES, AVSKUM and DECREPID now confirmed, Obscene Extreme Festival 2026 continues evolving into one of the most eclectic, dangerous and uncompromising celebrations of underground extremity anywhere in the world.
