After ten years of recording silence, the legendary Neurosis marks a triumphant return with the release of their new studio album, "An Undying Love For A Burning World." The album is now available on all digital streaming platforms via Neurot Recordings, with physical pre-orders currently live on the label's official site.
This new chapter for the band comes with a major announcement: Aaron Turner (known for his work in Sumac and Isis) has officially joined Neurosis on guitar and vocals. Turner joins the established lineup of Steve Von Till, Jason Roeder, Dave Edwardson, and Noah Landis. The band describes his energy as a perfect match for their creative vision, while Turner himself noted it is an honor to join a group that originally shaped his perspective on the limitless possibilities of music.
Described as an epic album of "colossal hypnotism," the record was produced by Scott Evans at Studio Litho in Seattle over three weekends this winter and mixed at Antisleep Audio in Oakland. The band views this release as a potent statement of rebirth and resilience—a necessary catharsis in response to modern isolation, anxiety, and the ongoing climate crisis.
In addition to the new music, Neurosis has confirmed their return to the stage after a seven-year hiatus. The band will perform at the Fire In The Mountains Festival in July 2026, held on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana. This appearance is particularly significant as it is by special invitation of the Firekeeper Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to reducing youth suicide in Indian Country. Steve Von Till, who serves on the organization’s board, emphasized the healing and ceremonial nature of the festival as the most appropriate environment for the band's return.
