GOD DETHRONED - UNDER THE SIGN OF THE BATTLEFIELD!!! GOD DETHRONED originally formed in 1990 as a death metal band. Since 1996, they evolved into blackened death metal with some melodic death metal albums after the release of "Into the Lungs of Hell". Their latest albums saw a return to their original blackened death metal sound.
Since their start in 1991, this Dutch commando has released great albums from the debut "The Christhunt" (1992) through "Bloody Blasphemy" (1999) to "The Toxic Touch" (2006). After a short two year break, the band reactivated in 2014 with their blackened death metal at its best.
Since their comeback album "The World Ablaze" (2017), the highly rated "Illuminati" (2020) and the new 12th album "The Judas Paradox" (2024), they have written the strongest songs to play live. They have not played much in the Czech Republic territory and the smaller OEF version only once in 2021 during the Covid aftermath. We believe the band deserves the proper large crowd at the OEF auditorium to come once again to decimate the OEF arena. Powerful, brutal and dark – GOD DETHRONED!!!
ALL STARS GRIND TEAM!!! What do ex-members of bands like Agathocles, Suppository or Aborted have in common? For some time now, these veterans of the underground have been working in a band called BARREN!!! And now is the right time to invite these bards to Obscene Extreme festival, because we simply can't ignore the quality of their band!!! BARREN call themselves "Chainsaw grind" and we can only agree, because BARREN's music sounds like a chainsaw cutting you in two!!!
The brutal sound of HM2 distortion, frenetic drums and screaming with growling, all perfectly mixed into an energetic grindcore cocktail, where you can also notice an admixture of rough death metal. Listen to their recordings, which are already quite a few, considering the band has only been around since 2017. BARREN at OEF 2025 will be a bit like the return of the lost sons. So welcome back boys!!!

This Latin American duo, led by singing drummer Rafaela, greasing the eyeballs according to the old-school order since 2019 and infecting the scene with a combination of grind, gore and d-beat, is going to morbidly invade our festival too. And we all want this contagion and are looking forward to it!!!
CENTINEX – SWEDISH MASSACRE TAKES OVER OEF AGAIN AFTER TEN YEARS!!! Swedish death metal has become a household name in the more than quarter century of Obscene Extreme's existence. During that time, fans have been able to see extraordinary performances by bands that have been crushing the scene since the beginning of this style. CENTINEX is exactly that band that was formed early in 1990 and has played their excellent set at OEF twice, the first time in 2003, but the last time was ten years ago in 2014.
It was at that time that their comeback album "Redeeming Filth" was released, which started a whole decade of excellent performances at many places and the release of other great albums "Doomsday Rituals" in 2016 and "Death in Pieces" in 2020.
The band has been long overdue to come back again to OEF. It is simply the best time to invite this deadly quartet led by their bandleader Martin Schulman to Bojiště to crush us to pieces with their take on Swedish death metal! Insanity Reigns Supreme, Only Death Remains. CENTINEX!!!
CHAOTIC MANGEL, MADE IN SWEDEN!!! From the land of Tre kronor come not only well-known bands that have played Obscene Extreme countless times, but also great and almost unknown bands. And one of them is TJUVKOPPLA, who play totally killer mangel!!! Chaotic and fast riffs that sometimes slow down to show us the hardness of the rain-soaked streets of Gothenburg!!!
Call it hardcore, grindcore or power violence, but what is certain is that this five-piece, which has been around since 2018, will bring us a vicious thrashing!!! They have several releases to their credit, the latest of which "Charter Hela Aret" from 2024 will probably be the backbone of TJUVKOPPLA's premiere performance at Obscene Extreme!!! Don't miss it!!!
GRIND DOCTORS, WELCOME BACK!!! Open the body bags, the GENERAL SURGERY is coming!!! The quintet of pathologists from the land of the three crowns, very familiar to you and us, are back at OEF!!! For the sixth time, the blood-stained medical gowns will show us the beautiful craft of pathological grindcore as only GENERAL SURGERY can. They've been with us since 1988 and probably don't need to remind us of their long journey through the underground.
This year's reissues of their two full length albums on France's Listenable Records and a couple of big European festivals, one of which is, how else, Obscene Extreme will remind us of their successful status!!! We are very happy that GENERAL SURGERY will be back at the Battlefield, because we have a long-standing friendship with them and their music has always been and always is the one that gets everyone on their feet and calls for frenzied moshpit by all the doctors and nurses involved.
