INFORMACION:
La decimocuarta edición del Azkena Rock tendrá lugar el viernes 19 y sábado 20 de junio de 2015. Además, a mediodía del viernes y el sábado el Azkena Rock recuperará los conciertos gratuitos en la Plaza de la Virgen Blanca, que tan buena acogida tuvieron en las ediciones 2010, 2011 y 2012. Asimismo, el recinto de Mendizabala volverá a mantener el tercer escenario, como ya ocurriera en las ediciones 2011, 2012 y 2014.
Un festival temático que gira exclusivamente en torno al Rock en todas sus acepciones y que desde su primera edición en 2002 ha conseguido contar con algunas de las mayores estrellas internacionales del género como Iggy Pop, Deep Purple, The Black Crowes, Kiss, Pearl Jam...
El Azkena Rock Festival se celebra en las campas de Mendizabala, un espacio verde de 40.000 metros cuadrados que da cabida A 20.000 personas por día, y que se sitúa a 5 minutos del centro de la ciudad, Vitoria-Gasteiz.

US Death Metal legends NILE will see the deluxe reissuing of their first four full-lengths via Relapse Records this Spring as part of the label's ongoing 25th anniversary celebration. The albums Amongst The Catacombs of Nephren-Ka (1998), Black Seeds of Vengeance (2000), In Their Darkened Shrines (2002) and Annihilation of the Wicked (2005) have all been out-of-print on vinyl since their initial release, with the exception of Amongst the Catacombs..., which has been out of print for over seven years.
The deluxe reissues will each contain a digital download code of the full album and will be released on April 7th in North America, April 6th in UK/World, and April 3rd in Germany/Benelux/Finland. Pre-Orders, including exclusive colors are currently available via this location. A limited number of NILE sticker packs will be included with pre-orders for all four titles. This is our fifth album and we’ve gone back to our earlier blues and roots style with what we think are harder rockin’ grooves. Hope you like it as much as we do!"

Relapse Records announced the signing of international punk/metal supergroup TAU CROSS. Comprised of a pedigree of musicians including Amebix vocalist/bassist Rob 'The Baron' Miller, Voivod drummer Michel 'Away' Langevin, Misery guitarist Jon Misery and War//Plague guitarist Andy Lefton, TAU CROSS formed in 2013 and recorded their debut album over several months in 2014 throughout three different countries. The record is slated for a late Spring release via Relapse.
Rob Miller commented on the project saying "The music that evolved over this time is difficult to categorize, as there is clearly a lot of Amebix in the songwriting as well as some elements of gothic, Joy Division, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Industrial and hard fucking old-school punk rock. This is an entirely original work that is the organic fusion of four unique people. We decided to let the songs form themselves around the original demos and allow people to bring themselves into the mix, to allow the bark to grow around the tree. We are all very proud of what we have achieved in this short time and looking forward to working together again as soon as time allows."
Miller also talked about the band playing live and signing to Relapse: "Tau Cross will be playing live over the coming year, we hope to Tour in the US and Europe, it is still early days but I feel this is going to be an intense live experience. We were introduced to Relapse through a mutual friend, Brad Boatright at Audioseige Mastering, and were delighted that they stepped up and took this under their wing straight away, we look forward to working with them in the future."

Los aficionado al stoner están de enhorabuena con el regreso de los Americanos. Desde el pasado año, nos han ido presentando progresivamente las diferentes vertientes por las que transcurre su nueva creación. En formato single mantenían puntualmente actualizados a sus seguidores por medio de temas como “Minions” presentada ya el año anterior, y las más recientes “Annhilation Affair”, “Bishop in Arms”, “Loose Men” y “Undone”. Apreciábamos pronto la complejidad musical y diversidad, de la que hacen gala los de Miami. Como ellos mismos se suelen definir se mueven entre los cauces del “Stoner rock” y el “Sludge rock” subgéneros ambos que se nutren asimismo de otros géneros que aportan por tanto esa riqueza musical de la que presumen.
La banda continúa en su línea atronando con pesados ritmos de bajo combinados magistralmente con sus poderosos riffs y voces melódicas, que están presentes en todo el plástico y consiguen crear una atmósfera única y envolvente, atrapando rápidamente al oyente. Una perita en dulce sin duda para esos puristas que buscan ese plus en la interpretación de los músicos que ejecutan las piezas con sobrada maestría y virtuosismo.
Un nuevo paso evolutivo en la trayectoria de los americanos que a buen seguro, servirá para establecerse un poco más y coger caché dentro del terreno por el que se desplazan.
